Banditos Football Club

2001 2nd Division Champions!

3 time Champions of the WTFL.
1999, 2000 and 2001

Welcome to the Banditos homepage.

The Banditos Football Team has been playing touch football since the spring of 1991. Our foray onto the touch scence saw us arrive as the Untouchables.

Our first year was played in the Canford Touch Football League, and that year saw us win the third division crown. The next year we moved over to the Winnipeg Centennial Touch Football League. The league changed their name that year to the Winnipeg Touch Football League (WTFL), and this is where we have been ever since. We play in the very competitve 2nd Division that has us crossing over to play some of Manitoba's premier teams in Division 1.

We are currently the 3 time champions (1999 & 2000) of the WTFL, and we are also the 2 Time champions in the ultimate touch football league.(a mix of Banditos and Munch- Munch is the Banditos farm team in the Ultimate Touch Football League in Winnipeg).

2001 shaped up to be a very competitive season. Again our defense was the stingiest of them all and we led the league with 44 interceptions in only 14 games played (18 is the Normal). Our Offense will score, but our Defense sets our tempo!

With the re-configuration of the WTFL, it looks like the Banditos will be moving into the Division 1 section for 2002.
